Research interests

This research program focuses on the research line “ the pathogenesis of rheumatic disease and development of innovative therapies” which encompasses a multidisciplinary approach to get more insight into the inflammatory processes that are involved in various stages of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), ankylosing spondylitis, Sjögren’s disease, and SLE and to translate this knowledge into novel therapeutic approaches, including gene therapy and targeted therapies using biologicals and targeted small molecules. Prof. Tak's group has extensive experience in  immunohistochemistry, digital image analysis, intracellular signaling, T cell receptor analysis,  in vitro and ex vivo models, animal model of arthritis, gene therapy, and biological treatment.
