Research interests

My work focuses on two major topics. First, I work on a project looking into the clinical and cognitive outcome of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). DBS modulates brain activity in specific brain areas through electric current, delivered by implanted electrodes. Second, I study autobiographical memory and its links with basic cognitive functions, sense of self and psychiatric disorders.
