Tissue-resident memory CD8 T (Trm) cells are non-circulating memory T cells that localize to peripheral tissues, e.g. lungs, skin and intestine. Here, they provide an efficient and potent early protection against reinfection, prompting great interest in elicitating their development and differentiation.
My research focusses on the transcriptional program underlying the establishment of CD8 Trm in lung and other tissues. Moreover, we investigate the differentiation and development of CD8 Trm following pathogen reencounter.
