Research interests

Currently I'm working on two projects:

1. By locally overexpressing neuropeptides in the hypothalamus using an recombinant AAV-vector, we want to gain more insight into how these neuropeptides regulate glucose and fact metabolism in the periphery and energy expenditure.

2. Determine which inflammatory pathway components are responsible for the changes in central thyroid hormone metabolism that are observed during inflammation.
